Usually undecorated but a small number of sherds have applied thumbed strips, usually placed vertically.
Function
Storage and cooking. Nearly all sherds are smoke blackened and/or heavily sooted indicating use as cooking pots.
General distribution
Main area of distribution is within a 30 mile radius of the Malvern Hills, although vessels have been found as far afield as Shrewsbury and Cardiff.
