Microscopic and chemical analysis has confirmed that Fabric 12.2 was produced in the Great Buckman's Farm/Newland Common kilns which can be dated to the 2nd to 3rd century on the basis of their products. Further vessels of this fabric have also been identified at the Newland Hopfields site. However, it cannot be assumed that all products of this fabric came solely from these two sites.
