Raeren/Aachen, BELGIUM
Stoneware vessels were produced in the Raeren/Aachen area of modern Belgium from about 1450 to the early 17th century. There was a great increase in production at the end of the 15th century which continued into the 16th century and at this period they were exported into Britain in such quantities that they are found on most sites (Gaimster 1997, 225). Small numbers of these vessels have been found on many sites in Worcestershire.
